Catherine Pryce
Social Media Consultant
I have recently evolved into the role of Social Media Consultant here at Leapfrogg. Bringing all the charm and finesse that served me well as an Account Manager; fully throwing myself to the position of girl geek in the corner and hands on advisor of Social Media for our clients. It’s exciting times! With a strong background in SEO and a meandering journey here via running a chalet, outdoor advertising, email marketing and a sporadic hack in music journalism, I have always had a few toes firmly wiggling in the pond of social networks being an avid user of said networks for some considerable time. I love to help clients understand and grow in the online social “sphere” and hold a special interest in community mapping, researching into the “influencers” and the endless possibilities of syndicating and pushing out online PR to the max. I have also recently developed a knack in bizarre analogies for translating the concept of social media in the layman’s terms. Think Mackerels, Eagles and wait with baited breath for the next concept!
Things that make me jump for joy
Harmony, yoga, steam rooms, Christmas Carols (apart from the ‘Drummer boy’ which I find disturbing), lazy Sundays discussing politics stemming from a stint in bed with the Observer, the queen herself Vivienne Westwood, cooking good food, Bloody Marys, Sushi, Kings of Leon, writing, dancing like a baby giraffe, musical statues, Kings of Leon, the German word for guinea pig: Meerschweinchen, Coco Channel Mademoiselle, pretty moo cows, witty tramps, anchovies, getting the giggles, superlatives and the Kings of Leon!
… and make me hopping mad!
Ignorance, hypocrites, the Daily Mail, the word “albeit” – I can never pronounce/think its STUPID, lack of size 9 shoes for tall women, spotting a bad weave, the use of Capitals in the Wrong Places, jazz especially if there is a flute involved, tomato ketchup - its both offensive to cooking and banned in my house! Nail extensions, perma tans and the conversations associated with them. The “sad donkey” adverts in the back of the Guardian always make me cry into my poached eggs.
